The exhibitions of this summer,
Secret in the old Granary and
Wood Works! in the Copper Smithy, are open May 9 - September 26 2010, daily from 11 am to 6 pm.
Kei Volmer's exhibition Eikun Keikun in Kantti August 19 – September 8
This is my first solo exhibition. Up till now I have only participated in group exhibitions. Exhibited is both new works but also works from the past years. The theme as well as the technique is a wide spread. A large part of the works exhibited is in private collections.

Stage of growth in Kantti July 9 – 28
"These
works are hand created thoughts of living as member of a community. The
works have been formed pit by pit, layer by layer, thrown and hand
formed. with the Stage of Growth installation I want to represent how ceramics can have its own voice or how I reflect my observation of nature."This is how Riitta Talonpoika describes her exhibition displayed in Kantti art shop in Fiskars.

Imagine in Kantti May 28 – July 7
Tiina Karimaa is a sculptor living in Fiskars village.
The materials used in her newest works are black alder, elm, birch and
machinery from musical boxes. The drawings and texts are done by burning.
One theme in the exhibition has been to take it at bit more easy, like the
clouds in the sky.

Works by Sirpa Kolu in Kantti March 16 - May 2
When I plan an exhibit I usually always build a miniature of the
space. The little space Kantti invited to work in the space itself, like
the exhibit space would be a miniature of the something bigger. I build
my exhibit in this space, in this hour. After a traditional winter one
could think that thoughts of spring and people taking off their winter
coats work as a model for the exhibition.

Works by Susanna Bagge in Kantti February 2 - March 14
Susanna Bagge shows her newest works in Kantti Art Shop until the midth of
March. The works in the series BEFORE THE LANDSCAPE refer to the nature, to
the light and form of the landscape. At the same time they describe human
emotions and consiousness.

Second sight exhibition opened November 28th 2009
More than 60 artists from Sweden's Finnish-speaking regions and
Finland's Swedish-speaking regions participate in the Second sight
exhibition with their art, arts and crafts and design items.
Participants from Fiskars include Camilla Moberg, Karin, Widnäs,
Sade Kahra, Barbro Kulvik, Martti Aiha and Kari Virtanen.
Second sight is an important part of the Nordic
Delight project, which deals with associations, features, narratives
and authority related to place and identity in the Nordic countryside (www.nordicdelight.eu).
The exhibition is open in the Copper smithy in Fiskars until April 25 2010, Tue-Sun noon-5 pm.
