Fiskars Design Village 2012 is part of the official programme of Helsinki World Design Capital 2012
Fiskars Design Village 2012 is a series of events continuing throughout the year and staged at Fiskars and in Helsinki. Its programme offers interesting perspectives on Finnish, Scandinavian and European design with reference to cuisine, furniture, and landscape architecture, among other areas, and the wide range of skills of the Fiskars cooperative of artisans, designers and artists. There will be eight exhibitions at Fiskars including additional events. The cooperative will also have its own exhibition at Design Museum in Helsinki.For more information here.
New exhibition Iron Ladies opens October 1, 2011
The exhibition shows the result of the work and cooperation of five ladies from Fiskars Village.
Kaisa Barbieri, Nanna Bayer, Tarja Ervasti, Hanne Horte and Elina Laiho represent different professions in the fields of craft, design and art.The exhibition is open until January 1, 2012 in the Copper Smithy, Tue-Sun from noon to 5 pm.

Käsillä -exhibition opens in Kantti Sat October 1,2011
The Käsillä
-exhibition present works by four artists: cabinet maker Petri Koivusipilä, textile artist Pia Nieminen, visual artist Ritva Palander and artist Marja-Elina Uusitupa.The exhibition lasts until October 25, 2011 and it is open Tue-Sun from noon to 5 pm.
